THE L A T E C H
KARATE-DO SHOTOKAI CLUB!

Mitsusuke Harada Sensei's innovative training methods help develop the body condition necessary to manipulate an aggressor despite their size or experience. We focus on practical self-defense and therefore do not participate in sport competitions. AKDS clubs only exist at select locations in the U.S., so come experience it for yourself!

WHO CAN COME?
We encourage anyone interested in the martial arts regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or experience to come give it a try! Because our practice is based on universal principles of body mechanics, beginners and more experienced people all work together to improve! Join us ANY time, ANY quarter!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING?
Wear sweats and a t-shirt (or a karate gi if you have one, but no shorts please). Remove jewelry, trim toe/finger nails for safety, and bring a water bottle. We practice bearfoot on smooth hard surfaces. Club members get a special discount on equipment (we sometimes train with a wooden sword--or bokken--and a wooden staff--or bo, which you'll want to purchase at some point to help improve and progress your practice). See you there!

Club Activities & Events!
