Our Mission Statement
We seek tranquility
in the midst of conflict
or danger, and strive
to control our bodies,
minds and emotions,
to be able to avoid conflict
when possible, defend
ourselves when necessary
and protect others when able.
Karate Quote of the Day!
Austin, Texas
No experience is necessary. We don't participate in competitions, but we do study practical self defense. We study how to get maximum power, speed, and responsiveness from our bodies. Both males and females can learn to do this extremely well, and we encourage anyone interested in martial arts, specifically, or in exploring the potential of the human body, generally, to come out and experience what we do. Feel free to browse this site and the sites in the links section to get more information.
The club at UT Austin is still small, and those who join now will gain the advantage of learning with a small group, which is a great opportunity to practice with and get individual feedback from the instructor.
